BAV Institute continues to grow and now employs 40 staff - In BAV Newsletter 02/2011
As in previous years, the BAV Institute continues to grow healthily this year and now employs a total of 40 people. Due to the continuously increasing number of satisfied customers, the BAV team was expanded by six qualified employees in the first half of 2011.
Four specialists strengthen the laboratory team
With its attractive range of services, the BAV Institute was able to further increase its sample volume last year.
The laboratory staff was therefore reinforced by four specialists again. Ines Geiler (Agricultural Technical Assistant), Sarah Hochstein (Veterinary Technical Assistant), and Dorothe Märker (Medical Technical Assistant) support the laboratory team in the routine everyday tasks involved in conducting microbiological examinations.
Steffen Bißdorf (Diploma Biologist) is currently intensively involved in the introduction and validation of a new PCR-based rapid method for salmonella determination.
Two new employees in the secretarial and sample reception area
The increasing sample volume and customer numbers also lead to growth in the office team. New colleagues have joined in the secretariat and sample reception area as well. Christine Käfer (Office Clerk) and Carina Wölfle (Pharmaceutical Commercial Assistant) strengthen the team in the telephone switchboard, the recording and entering of sample data, and the preparatory work for the issuance of the finished examination results.
BAV Institute well-prepared for further growth
The BAV Institute remains true to its previous development and thus ensures a qualified and motivated staff base in a timely manner to be able to process all orders with sufficient capacity in the accustomed quality, reliability, and speed.
