BAV Institute - Your Service Provider for Microbiology and Hygiene - Article in pharmind
In the January issue of the magazine “pharmind – the pharmaceutical industry,” a comprehensive article about the BAV Institute and its main areas of activity was published.
Since its founding in 1997, the company has steadily grown and quickly and reliably offers microbiological testing of food, cosmetics, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals.
Our highlights:
- Tripling of lab space in 2024
- currently 190 employees
- more than 3,000 customers
- more than 5,000 m² of laboratory space
- testing of more than 550,000 samples in 2025
Our examination focuses are on classical cultural methods according to Ph. Eur., USP as well as customer-specific requirements, as well as validated and accredited rapid methods such as real-time PCR and microbial identifications via mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF).
Since 2014, the BAV Institute has been part of the internationally operating Tentamus Group (www.tentamus.com). As part of this group, we offer, in addition to microbiological testing, a variety of other tests, such as chemical analyses and stability testing, also for pharmaceuticals.
