"Bavarian Pretzel" Protected Geographical Indication - In BAV Newsletter 02/2014

The European Commission has granted Bavarian pretzel products the "protected geographical indication" seal. In the future, at least one of the production stages (production, processing, or manufacturing) must take place in the area of origin. Equivalent designations are "Bayerische Breze", "Bayerische Brezn", or "Bayerische Brez'n".
