BfR-Consumer Monitor 08-2022

Every six months, the BfR surveys the public on the topic of health consumer protection and publishes the results in the form of the Monitor.

When asked what are currently the greatest health risks for consumers when purchasing food, cosmetics, or consumer goods, the following were mainly mentioned:

-       Undesirable substances in general

-       Plastics

-       Additives

-       Misleading information

-       Certain nutrients

-       Unhealthy diet and lifestyle

-       Pesticides

-       Lack of hygiene

The responses show the high awareness and interest of consumers in this topic.
