BfR: Materials in Contact with Food - In BAV Newsletter 01/2011

The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has published a catalog of questions and answers regarding materials that come into contact with food. This includes a database with “Recommendations on Materials for Food Contact.” It describes, among other things, conditions under which the transfer of substances from materials to food that might pose health risks can be excluded.
