BfR presents 'ConTrans': Digital tool for assessing feed contamination
The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) presents the computer program "ConTrans", which calculates the transfer of undesirable substances from feed into food. This digital tool enables predictions about the appearance and concentration of substances such as dioxins, PCBs, and PFAS in animal products after feed changes.
The program is intended to support official risk management and is available for cattle, pigs, and poultry, as well as the food products derived from them. With the help of "ConTrans", potential health risks after consumption can be estimated and decisions regarding legal maximum levels can be made. The BfR plans a continuous expansion of the program to cover further scenarios.
In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct examinations for contaminants such as dioxins, PCBs, and other contaminants in food. We provide fast and reliable results.
If you have any questions, our customer advisors are at your disposal.
