BfR: Questions and Answers on Aflatoxins - In BAV Newsletter 02/2013

The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has compiled questions and answers on aflatoxins. Aflatoxins are metabolic products produced by various molds.

These molds can occur, for example, in dried fruits, pistachios, nuts, peanuts, and corn kernels and form toxins. Animal feed can also be infested by these molds and therefore contain aflatoxins.
