BVL publishes results of food monitoring from 2018

In the operational inspections conducted by food surveillance, errors in operational hygiene are by far the most common reason for complaints. A total of about 500,000 operational inspections were conducted in Germany in 2018, with the complaint rate decreasing from 13.6% in the previous year to 12.6% in 2018.
