Campylobacterinfectionsincreaseinsummermonths

Diarrheal diseases caused by Campylobacter are the most common bacterial food infections in Europe, significantly ahead of salmonella infections. Especially during the summer months, the number of these diseases increases. As of July 25, there have been 30,585 campylobacteriosis cases reported to the RKI. To prevent these diseases, it is particularly important to maintain good hygiene and ensure poultry is sufficiently cooked.
