Change of guidelines for meat and meat products
The Expert Committee for Meat and Meat Products of the German Food Code Commission informed on 02/16/21 about its recommendations for further changes to the guidelines for meat and meat products.
The following descriptions have been adjusted in the guidelines:
- Meat (I.1 first paragraph and I.1.1 first paragraph)
- specific pieces of meat (I.1.1 second paragraph)
- Meat products (1.2)
- Veal roulades (II.2.509 second paragraph, second sentence)
There were further changes to the degree of chopping for corned beef (Guideline number 2.2332.1).

The industry now has until 03/16/21 to comment on these changes.
