Amendment to the Animal LMHV - In BAV Newsletter 03/2016

Already in March of this year, the amendment to the Animal-LMHV was published in the Federal Gazette. Among other things, this amendment abolishes the cooling requirement for chicken eggs from the 18th day. Therefore, the EU regulation applies in this regard, according to which chicken eggs must be delivered to the consumer within 21 days. 
Furthermore, for communal catering facilities, the requirement to take and store retention samples is eliminated when they serve heated egg-containing foods. (Source: Animal-LMHV)
