Chemical Testing Cosmetics BAV Institute

The requirements for cosmetics regarding chemical residues are constantly increasing, due to the demands of the Regulation (EC) 1223/2009, as well as the specifications of the Chemical Law & REACH.

Our institute, part of the international Tentamus laboratory group, offers a wide range of chemical analyses, both for prohibited substances and those restricted to the maximum amount. This includes, among others:

• Analysis of fragrances, including pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2023/1545
• Plasticizers & Phthalates, including mono-n-hexyl phthalate (MnHexP) and di-n-hexyl phthalate (DnHP)
• Free and bound formaldehyde
• Heavy metals arsenic, antimony, lead, cadmium, mercury and other metals

We conduct analysis in end products and raw materials and are also happy to advise on the scope of the examination.
