Conference of Consumer Protection Ministers (VSMK) 2018: Nationwide model for the publication of food control results

In June 2018, the VSMK explained some important topics. For example, a nationwide publication of official control results of food monitoring was discussed.

Furthermore, the VSMK calls on the federal government to clarify which implementing legislation is planned at national level in order to organize the public information on the assessment of food companies, e.g. in terms of so-called "hygiene traffic lights." According to Article 11, Paragraph 3 of the EU Control Regulation No. 2017/625, the competent authority can publish the assessment of individual companies based on the results of one or more official controls, if the rating criteria are objective, transparent, and publicly available, and if there are appropriate regulations to ensure that the rating process is fair, consistent, and transparent.
