The Food Information Regulation stipulates in Article 26 paragraph 2 the mandatory indication of the country of origin or place of provenance of fresh, chilled, or frozen pork, sheep, goat, and poultry meat. Details are specified in the implementing provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 1337/2013. A brief initial overview will now be provided here.
