CVUA: Baked goods with chocolate-like coatings - In BAV Newsletter 02/2012
The Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Karlsruhe examined a total of 42 baked goods with chocolate-like fillings or coatings in 2011. Only 57% of the samples were in order, the chocolate was genuine or appropriately labeled. In 12% of the samples, chocolate-containing fat glaze or fat cream was used without the required labeling, and another 31% were misleadingly labeled.
