CVUA Sigmaringen: Mycotoxins in Cereal Flakes
In 2019, the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Sigmaringen examined 43 grain flake samples for mycotoxin contamination. 18 of the 43 samples were from organic farming.
In none of the examined samples were the limit or guideline values for mycotoxins exceeded. The proportion of samples contaminated with mycotoxins was significantly higher in conventional grain flakes at 72% compared to organic grain flakes at 22%.
