Diabetic foods no longer permitted since 10/10/2012 - In BAV Newsletter 04/2012

The exception to the ban on disease-related advertising in § 12 LFGB that previously applied to diabetic products will be revoked effective October 10, 2012. Diabetic products that were placed on the market before then may be sold until the end of their best-before date. Indications of suitability for diabetics must be removed from, for example, "sugar-free products".
