The global pandemic with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is one of the greatest challenges of modern times. Out of people's fear, unscrupulous sellers, especially in online commerce, try to capitalize. Numerous dietary supplements are offered online that directly advertise or indirectly suggest that they can prevent or treat an infection with the Coronavirus.
Such claims are false and illegal!
The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) explicitly warn against such products.
Federal Minister Julia Klöckner says about this: "You do not play with people's fears. These profiteers should not succeed!"
There are no scientific studies that prove the effectiveness of certain plants, vitamins, or minerals against the Coronavirus.
Claims like "protects against viruses" or similar health-related advertising or statements that dietary supplements serve the prevention or treatment of diseases are fundamentally prohibited.
In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct investigations of dietary supplements and labeling checks. We provide you with fast and reliable results.
Our customer advisors are happy to answer any questions you may have.
