Colorant notice is often missing in ice cream - In BAV Newsletter 03/2011

As determined by the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Offices of Baden-Württemberg, the required colorant notice was still frequently missing from ice cream from ice cream parlors. In addition, due to the colorants used, 19% of the ice cream samples from ice cream parlors lacked the additional warning "May impair activity and attention in children." Only every third sample was correctly labeled in this regard.
