EU Commission launches online Food Labelling Information System (FLIS)

The EU Commission has put a new tool online that allows users to query the required labeling elements for food within the EU. After selecting the desired language and the corresponding food category, the necessary labeling elements will be displayed.

The mandatory labeling displayed is essentially based on the Food Information Regulation, which is supplemented by other Union law regulations in individual cases. The respective legal source is indicated for each listed labeling element.
