Examination of the marketability of cosmetic products
Cosmetic products must be safe and harmless within the scope of the EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. This includes harmless microbiological quality as well as sufficient quality regarding possible chemical residues such as heavy metals, PAHs, solvent residues, etc.
Furthermore, the consumer expects a product that corresponds to its labeling and claims in terms of application, appearance, smell, and feel.
Regarding the indication of promotional claims, the Claims Regulation (EU) No 655/2013 provides the regulatory framework.
When you first market a product or revise an existing product, the verification of the above-mentioned information is usually required as part of a marketability test.
The BAV Institute, as part of the international Tentamus laboratory group, conducts these tests for you. We perform both the aforementioned analytical tests and the verification of labeling.
With many years of expertise and regulatory know-how, we are your competent partner in the testing of cosmetic products.
