In a training center for young people, Salmonella typhimurium, listeria, and staphylococci were detected in onion mettwurst, which had been homemade by a kitchen manager and offered at a cold buffet. Several young people fell ill with salmonellosis. The fine for the kitchen manager amounted to 1,600 euros.

In another case, there were severe diarrheal diseases among 41 participants at two family celebrations in a tavern, some requiring hospitalization. Salmonella was detected in the food samples.

39 people in a clinic suffered from vomiting and diarrhea. The symptoms and course of the disease corresponded to those of a norovirus infection. Identical isolates of noroviruses were detectable in food samples from the hospital kitchen and stool samples from patients and clinic staff.
