In the USA, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has installed a new platform for adverse effects in cosmetics: the “Real-time Adverse Event Dashboard for Cosmetics.”
This tool is intended to enhance transparency and facilitate consumers' access to safety information for cosmetics. The basis for this is the so-called MoCRA regulation (Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act) from 2022, which reformed cosmetic law in the USA.
Information on adverse effects of cosmetics can be uploaded to the platform, for example by responsible persons, but also by consumers or cosmeticians.
