Final ISO 22000:2018 now published
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) released the final version of the food safety standard ISO 22000:2018 on June 19. This marks the start of the three-year transition period for certified companies.
The release concludes the fundamental revision phase of the standard. It is the first revision of ISO 22000 since 2005. The standard was adjusted to the ISO High-Level Structure (HLS) and updated and revised to meet today's food safety challenges.
Certified companies must transition to the 2018 version of the standard by June 19, 2021.
