The first deadline regarding the extended declaration obligation is approaching: July 31, 2026!
From this point on, cosmetic products may only be placed on the market for the first time if the declaration of fragrance ingredients is in accordance with the provision of Regulation (EU) No. 2023/1545. This regulation requires the declaration of additional fragrance components. For the first time, in addition to declaring individual substances, the indication of certain natural extracts is also required.
It is important to note that the indication is made (as before) in addition to the term "fragrance" in the INCI list. If natural extracts themselves contain individually declarable substances, both the natural extract and the individual substance must be declared.

July 31, 2028, is the deadline by which products already on the market must also be finally labeled according to the new requirements.
