In this portal, the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) publishes warnings from food companies and authorities regarding foods that are hazardous to health, disgusting, or otherwise unfit for sale.
We have summarized the reports for March 2021. Notably, this month there were particularly frequent recalls due to microbiological complaints. The microbiological food warnings were exclusively due to Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, and Escherichia coli.
