On this portal, the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) publishes warnings from food companies and authorities regarding food that is harmful to health, disgusting, or otherwise deemed unfit for consumption.
We have summarized the reports for October 2022. In October, among others, cereal products such as semolina or rice cakes were recalled in several cases due to the detection of mold or mold toxins (mycotoxins). Various distributors were affected by the recalls.
