Food Association Germany: New Guideline for Listeria Prevention

On December 18, 2023, the German Food Association published the "Guideline for Good Practice Recommendations for Preventive Measures against Listeria monocytogenes in Certain Areas of Food Production". 

This is a notified guideline according to Art. 8 para. 3 of Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 on Food Hygiene. The Guideline for Good Practice is a recommendation for food business operators and authorities. It enjoys a high level of importance because it was developed by experts from various fields of industry, authorities, and scientific associations.
