Foods involved in disease outbreaks in Germany in 2011 - In BAV Newsletter 01/2013
The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has presented an analysis of 90 disease outbreaks for the year 2011. Many of the reported foodborne disease outbreaks were once again triggered by hygiene deficiencies and errors in temperature management. In its report, the BfR emphasizes that regular training sessions for personnel in the facilities on the proper handling of food can help prevent outbreaks.
