On November 18 and 19, the second international conference on the safety of tattoo inks will take place in Berlin. According to a representative survey by the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), 12% of all Germans are already tattooed. The health safety of these products is therefore becoming increasingly important.

Furthermore, from January 2022, certain substances in tattoo inks will be restricted step by step. Regulation (EU) 2020/2081 amends the annex of the REACH regulation concerning substances in tattoo inks and permanent make-up products.
