The state laboratory examined fresh, filled, and packaged pasta from the supermarket in 2015. Fortunately, it was reported that most samples were microbiologically harmless. One sample had to be removed from the market because the contamination with Listeria monocytogenes was too high and the sample was classified as harmful to health. In another sample, there was a suspicion that the food operator did not comply with hygiene regulations.
There were concerns with the labeling of 5 samples (fat content, salt content, allergens, claims).
As this is a sensitive product group according to the testing laboratories, fresh, filled pasta will be included in the nationwide testing plan in 2016. (Source: www.laves.niedersachsen.de)
