Pretty Fresh - Face Masks Compared in the Current Öko-Test Magazine
The current issue of January 2020 examines and evaluates a total of 51 facial masks and sheet masks in detail. The sheet masks are products that have increasingly come to Germany and Europe as a trend from Korean beauty care in recent years.
More than half of the products were rated either very good (22x) or good (7x). The other products achieved at most the grade satisfactory, with five of the products being classified as insufficient. Reasons for downgrading by one or more grades included, among others:
- PEG compounds
- Chlorphenesin (preservative, halogenated organic compound)
- Allergenic fragrances Hydroxycitronellal and Lilial
- Silicone compound Cyclopentasiloxane
- Silicones and paraffins
The BAV Institute, as part of the international Tentamus laboratory group, comprehensively tests the quality of your products and compliance with the EC Regulation (VO) 1223/2009. The above-mentioned compounds and residues are detected safely and reliably using the latest methods.
