Grapes and vine leaves often contaminated with pesticides such as boscalid and tebuconazole
Last year, it was observed that both grapes and vine leaves were often contaminated with pesticides.
In investigations by the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office (CVUA) Stuttgart regarding pesticide residues in or on fresh fruit and vine leaves, residues of numerous pesticide active ingredients were detected in over 94% of the samples. Table grapes often contained numerous active substances, with fosetyl, dimethomorph, boscalid, and penconazole being the most common. A total of 26 different substances were identified in one sample. For vine leaves, exceeding the legally specified maximum levels was even detected in 71% of the samples. Here, tebuconazole, metalaxyl (-M), and boscalid were most frequently detected.
