GrilledMeatAndGrilledSausagesInFocus
The Food and Veterinary Institute Oldenburg of the State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (LAVES) annually tests numerous samples of grilled food microbiologically, as well as their composition and checks the labeling.
50% of the grilled sausages examined were completely satisfactory, while 27% were judged to have misleading labeling. Out of a total of 114 samples, 15 samples had unsatisfactory labeling and in eleven samples, the declared nutritional values differed significantly from the analysis results.
For grilled meat, 112 samples of raw, marinated meat were examined both sensorially and chemically. Here, 94 samples (84%) were satisfactory. Sensorially, all samples were without complaints.
In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly carry out microbiological, chemical as well as sensory analyses of meat and meat products. We also offer labeling checks. Our customer advisors are happy to answer any questions you may have.
