Health-threatening salmonella detected in sausage - product recall

According to the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), 90% of foodborne infections in recent years have been attributed to salmonella. As a cause of gastrointestinal diseases, salmonella play a significant role worldwide. Common carriers of salmonella include poultry meat, eggs, and pork.

Salmonella were detected in a meat product available for sale. The manufacturer is therefore recalling the product. Consumers who have purchased the product are strongly advised against its consumption.

At the BAV Institute, we regularly conduct testing for salmonella and other pathogenic germs. We provide fast and reliable results and are happy to advise you on all matters related to product safety. Our customer advisors are available to assist you with any questions.
