Harmful Salmonella detected in herbs - Product recall
According to the BfR , 90% of foodborne infections in recent years are attributable to salmonella. Salmonella play a significant role worldwide as a cause of gastrointestinal diseases. Frequent carriers of salmonella are especially poultry, eggs, and pork.
Salmonella were detected in an herb mixture being sold. Therefore, the manufacturer is recalling the product. Consumers who have purchased the product are strongly advised against consumption.
