Judgment: Chicken Breast Fillet Only with Inner Fillet - In BAV Newsletter 02/2011

If a product is marketed as "chicken breast fillet," both the outer and inner breast muscles must be present in the products. According to a recent ruling by the Administrative Court of Oldenburg, it constitutes a labeling violation under community law if a product is sold as "breast fillet" but the so-called inner fillet has been removed during trimming.
