Judgment: Roast Pork from Pieces of Meat - In BAV Newsletter 04/2011

According to a ruling by the Administrative Court of Berlin, a meat product composed of several pieces of meat may not be labeled as “roast pork”. Several regulatory agencies had criticized the labeling as “roast pork” without indicating the assembly of meat pieces as misleading. Consumers expect a piece of meat left in its natural state.
