The production of Müller-Brot GmbH in Neufahrn was completely stopped due to severe hygiene deficiencies. The operation is currently under the supervision of the district office. The public prosecutor's office has been investigating since summer 2011. A complete cleaning of the operation became necessary because the hygienic conditions no longer allowed the products to be sold. During several factory inspections, significant dirt and pests were found on a considerable scale. The Association of German Large Bakeries has meanwhile emphasized: "Hygiene is the top priority in all our bakeries. Only companies with high hygiene standards will remain competitive."
