LAVES tests salad cups

In 2017, at the Food and Veterinary Institute Braunschweig/Hannover of the Lower Saxony State Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (LAVES), a total of 23 samples of pre-packaged salad cups from retail were examined for their microbiological state, composition, and labeling.

Only seven samples (30%) were flawless in all respects. Especially notable were microbiological values and faulty labeling.
