In 2017, the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL) examined nearly 70,000 samples of food, consumer goods, cosmetic products, and tobacco products.

According to Dr. Andreas Zapf (LGL President), the rate of complaints due to health risks was only 0.4% for the approximately 70,000 samples.
