The number of foodborne illnesses caused by Listeria monocytogenes is continuously increasing both in Germany and internationally (see also statistics at https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/Infekt/EpidBull/epid_bull_node.html). Since listeriosis has an unusually high mortality rate of over 10% for food poisoning and is particularly dangerous for pregnant women and other sensitive groups, food companies must take numerous measures to avoid contamination with these germs (see also information in our profile on "Listeria monocytogenes" on our homepage).

At the BAV Institute, we are highly specialized in these examinations and offer our customers both a 24-hour rapid method and ISO standard procedures for testing for Listeria spp. or Listeria monocytogenes. In 2017 alone, we tested over 40,000 samples for Listeria monocytogenes at our institute. We provide you with fast and reliable results.

For questions, our customer advisors are happy to assist you.
