LMIV AV published

On 13.07.2017, a national regulation on labeling requirements came into effect (LMIV AV).
The focus of this regulation is an implementing regulation intended to fill the content gaps of the European Food Information Regulation No. 1169/2011 (LMIV).

An important aspect of this national implementing regulation concerns foods that are pre-packaged for self-service and offered for immediate sale on site. These foods must be equipped with almost all labeling elements according to the regulations for other pre-packaged foods, but for the aforementioned foods, information on net quantities and nutritional values can be omitted.
