Microbiological Testing of Medical Devices

The BAV Institute specializes in conducting microbiological examinations of material-based medical devices (e.g. nasal drops, throat sprays, artificial tear fluids). We possess a special accreditation certificate for this purpose. 

Specifically, we test for you:

• Bioburden (population of microorganisms) according to ISO 11737-1
• Testing the recovery rate according to ISO 11737-1
• Examination of samples from environmental monitoring (contact plates, swabs, air)
• Testing for adequate antimicrobial preservation
• Detection of specified microorganisms

In addition to medical devices, our institute also tests non-sterile pharmaceuticals, including herbal medicines according to the methods of Ph.Eur. Through our free online portal, you have access to all interim and final results around the clock. We look forward to your message!
