In a recent study by Öko-Test, mineral oil components were detected in peanut samples. It is assumed that mineral oil components enter food through lubricating oils of machines or packaging plastics.

Specific findings in peanuts can be traced back to MOSH. MOSH can accumulate in organs, particularly in the liver. Therefore, the rule is that exposure should be as low as possible. There is no limit for MOSH in food, but a corresponding regulation is already being worked on.

In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct tests for mineral oil components. We provide you with fast and reliable results.
