New limit for chlorpyrifos applies only from November

In April, we informed you about the end of the approval for the pesticides chlorpyrifos and chlorpyrifos-methyl. The deadline for use in the EU was April 16, 2020. The new maximum residue level was set at 0.01 mg/kg due to the withdrawal of approval. This limit was supposed to take effect on August 6, 2020.

This deadline has now been postponed to November 13, 2020.

No transitional arrangements are provided for goods produced before this date.
