New Product Portal for Cosmetics - In BAV Newsletter 01/2012

A new internet portal has been offering consolidated information about cosmetic products available in the EU market since January 2012. Starting in July 2013, manufacturers are required to register their products on the "Cosmetic Products Notification Portal" (CPNP). This creates a unified focal point for collecting information about cosmetic products for the first time. The portal emerged from negotiations between the Commission, national authorities, poison control centers, and industry.
