NewVersionofthe"GuidelinesforTea,HerbalandFruitTeaaswellastheirExtractsandPreparations"

As reported with the status reports of the DLMBK Expert Committee "Beverages", the "Guidelines for Tea, Herbal and Fruit Tea as well as their Extracts and Preparations" were revised in a lengthy process and adopted by the plenary of the German Food Book Commission (DLMBK) in March this year. The new version was published in the Federal Gazette BAnz AT 17.06.2022 B4 on 17.6.2022.

Content-wise, there were adjustments to an expanded range and preparation forms of tea (including cold brews) and terminology. In addition, further definitions of tea, herbal and fruit tea, their extracts, and preparations are now described in detail to ensure better understanding for consumers.
