New: COSMILE Database Launched – Cosmetic Ingredients

Under the name COSMILE, the new European ingredient database for cosmetic substances according to the regulations of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 is online. With this database, consumers and manufacturers can quickly and reliably obtain information on specific ingredients.

In addition to information on functionality (fragrance, preservatives, emulsifier, etc.), possible regulation according to the annexes of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 is also displayed. Possible opinions of the SCCS are also shown for the selected ingredient. The database currently encompasses approximately 30,000 individual substances. 

The database is currently available in 14 languages, and its development and provision are carried out by Cosmetics Europe and the IKW industry association.
