New RASFF - Annual Report for Food and Feed 2018

In 2018, 3,600 cases were reported through the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).

In over 30% of the notifications, a potential health hazard due to microorganisms such as Salmonella and Listeria was indicated. Mycotoxins (14.7%) and a hazardous composition (8.2%), such as unauthorized ingredients, were also common reasons for information exchange through the European network.
